Saylestock

It all began from a small weekend spent with friends who came up to my house in Bolton Landing, New York on Lake George. We sat by the fire, jamming all night, and enjoying each other’s company. At that moment, I knew that I could turn this into something big, and so began the planning for Saylestock. I wanted to base the whole event around three important ideas: friends, family, and music. A weekend set aside, once a year, where we can all come together, enjoy the music being played, eat good food and indulge in libations. September’s autumn season would be the perfect backdrop for the event and give people something to look forward to as summer ends. Everyone would be able to enjoy the leaves changing and the cool weather.

The first step was to build a stage for the bands to perform on and once the stage was finished, everything fell into place. We had the front yard as our campsite, the back yard held the fire pit and music goers and the driveway, our stage.

It’s a celebration of life, friends, family, nature, beauty, food, beer, fire, music.

Saylestock 2010 was a success. A few highlights from this years festivities were an amazing pig roast, great live music and delicious keg beer.  You can go to these links to check out pictures and video of Saylestock 2010.
